Our Story

We are a Mother/Daughter team!
We started Backyard Buzz because we wanted to work together and create a variety of artisan products inspired by our honeybees. We also focus on educating about our native pollinators and love to share and talk about their importance through art and photography.

Nikki is a Cornell Certified Master Beekeeper & Certified Pollinator Steward and inspects, manages and harvests honey from our beehives located through out Bucks County, Pa.

Karen is creative designer behind all of our products and she also creates unique items with hive products.

We both bounce ideas off each other and come up with unique and creative ways to share our passion for pollinators.

We both share an active role in managing every aspect of our business.

Our Hand crafted products range from our local raw honey, candy, original artwork and pollinator photography, to our hand crafted bath and beauty products; all made with 100% beeswax and honey from our backyard beehives.

Our bee sugar skull logo was inspired by the day of the dead, a colorful tradition to celebrate life and a reminder to live life to the fullest.

We are passionate about promoting the importance of our native pollinators and honey bees and enjoy educating our community.
