These pollinator boxes are specifically designed for our native mason bees.
The tube inserts are where the mason bees will nest.

The Easy Tear inserts add an extra layer of protection against pests.
Replace the Easy Tear inserts every year.
How to install
Install the pollinator box at eye level against a fence, wall or tree facing south to southeast.
The bees do not like to be swinging in the wind so place the box somewhere sturdy.
Since Mason bees only have a foraging range of about 300ft, place the box close to your garden.
You need to have clayey mud close by as well.
Harvesting Cocoons
This is the best way to ensure the bees health, prevents the spread of diseases, and decreases the pest population.
Harvest time is October to November
Keep cocoons in a dry unheated place like a shed or garage until Spring
Release cocoons when temps are consistently 55 degrees F or warmer and open blossoms.
Make sure to release all cocoons by mid May.

Mason Bees pollinate 95% of flowers they visit
This is also good for solitary beneficial wasps that will hunt garden pests.
